I'm new to angels, trying to figure out what I have. I started with 4 one was killed over night, the third started getting beat up so was moved out. The last 2 are normally staying side by side. Are they a pair? 2 females? Really tolerant males?

Hard to tell but from your description of their behavior my guess would be a pair. Unless they're in a larger group or all the fish are paired up, a pair usually starts to beat up the odd ones out

There's only 2 angels, 2 lemon tetras and a bristle nose pleco in the tank right now, planned to add more lemon tetras but the store was out.

The surest way is to observe the breeding tubes when they show. The male's is pointed, the female's, blunt. They normally show long before they breed.
