Ok so I was told my arowana would be available in 2 week at the most so I need to set up the tank soon.

When I get it it will be around 3 inches or so and ill grow him/her out in my 20g Molly tank LOL. When it gets big enough it will go in a 55g. Now my question is will a 300g be big enough for 1 3 ft arowana 4 tinfoil barbs and 1 channel catfish or should I get a 500g?

Haven't bought the tank yet as the arowana wont need it yet LOL so I would rather check before I go and buy the 300 then find out I need a 500 LOL

As for filters I'm going to use HOB filter since they're easier to Maintain and I like the nice current they provide. I'm going to filter it 15x the tank volume per hrs that should be enough right?

I don't own any arrowana but from the videos I have seen I would get the 500g.

Tank dimensions are more important for most fish, including arrowanas.
:thumb: length and width especially, make sure the arrowana can turn around comfortably
