I have a female stappersii that has been just sitting in her shell with her eggs the last couple of days and today she was half in on here side. So i figured she was dead and pulled her out then she started spinning around swimming and lay down and do it again. I put her in a breeder net and she lays on all sides of her body and thrashes sometimes and is breathing very heavy. I am not sure what is wrong. I dont know what to do. I think it must be neurological or something. Should I put her down?

I'd put her down, sad to see a fish in that condition.

First thing always good to do is check water parameters.

Could she have been a victim of aggression and taken a hit from a tank mate while defending her eggs?

She may have been injured by someone else. Here eggs were already eaten up this morning.
