Hello,
My Blue Johanni recently started shaking he was having a seizure. What is causing this? How can it be cured? It may be a coinecidence the first time I noticed this was yesteray when I was floating a bag of 2 new young adult africans I had just purchased.

Was it like a seizure where the fish lost control of his body and was flipping around OR was it more like quivering and shaking?

He was quivering and shaking and temporarily seemed to lose control but snapped out of it. the whole event was less than a minute.

I don't think it's anything to worry about as long as he is acting normally now. It may have just been excited with the activity of the addition of the new fish.

I noticed another fish doing the head shaking just a moment ago.

This is normal, Malawi cichlids do this behavior to impress or intimidate another fish, some sort of fishy communication about pecking order, territory, breeding.
