Hey Everyone,

I want to setup a Tropheus tank with Seiryu stone but I have read that it affects PH, KH and GH when your PH is below 7.
Is this true?

It kinda makes sense to me because PH below 7 is acid which dissolves the calcium carbonate.
Vice versa for PH above 7, its alkaline water, so shouldnt dissolve the CACO3.

My water parameters are 7.1PH.
I just want stable parameters.
So I shouldnt expect fluctuations in PH, KH or GH right?

Thanks

You want your pH to be above 7 in any case for tropheus so it can only help your parameters. Because your tap pH is so low, you may want to do more frequent smaller water changes than other fish keepers.
