I'm stocking a 75G tank with male peacocks, and some oddball others, and I do not want to necessarily get a larger tank in the future. I was targeting 5-6 inches max for the fish I intend to keep, and I realize the Sciaenochromis fryeri can get to 7 inches.

Does anyone successfully keep Fryeri in a 48 x 18 tank? Any experiences to share on their temperment in that size tank with more peaceful tankmates? Do they really top out at 7 inches, would that be exceptionally large or what size did yours reach at full maturity.

The size of the Fryeri won't be a major issue. Trying to keep all the males happy and colored up would be the issue, and some Fryeri have been know to go "hyperdominant". Thousands have kept Fryeri in a 4 foot tank, so if you want one, give it a try.
