Just got a call from my LFS and they told me they got in some Savini's. I had asked about it months ago. I think that fish is beautiful. For stocking purposes do you think 1 oscar 1 salvini and 3 Silver dollars be a good mix in a 90 gallon with fluval 405 and eventually an Aquaclear 50??

I though I read somewhere that they would make good tank mates

I think that this will work out fine, maybe add another silver dollar so they feel a bit more secure (they like to be in groups)

cool...I've read how agressive the Salvini's can be..I just would hate it if those teeth took a bite out of the Oscar. Thanks though

My tip would be to get the oscar and salvini when they're both small so they grow up together.

If you already have the oscar, just make sure they're close in size.

The oscar will outgrow the salvini, but it should be okay

I've had a few Salvinis and they were very aggressive, but manageable. I think the Silver Dollars will be fine, and there's a good change the Oscar & Salvina get along well enough. I can't remember if it's blue or purple, but the Salvinis markings are awesome under good lighting. Good luck.

get a female if you can since they have way better colors then the males.
