I have 1 male and 1 female rusty who have lately been breeding a lot. The other day I found 1 fry that was probably about 4 weeks old then the next day found 2 more that were about a week old I guess. Should I separate my female when she's holding or keep or in the tank and catch the fry once she spits them. As of right now I've just caught the fry I find in small rock crevasses and the rustys having fry is completely new for me since all times before never resulted in fry.

If you want 20 fry every time she spawns, you can separate her when she has been holding 18 days. What will you do with all the fry?

Right now I've moved the 3 I found to a 10 gallon to grow out. I know I want to add some back to the tank but of course 20 is alot and may not have the tank space for that once grown. I could sell them but not sure how much luck I'll get from that since I may still end up with a lot.

If you are going to save all batches you will want another couple of tanks and filters to raise the different size fry to selling size.
