I was doing a water change and when I was about done filling my aquarium a bunch of rust came through the hose. Will this be an issue? Or do I need to do a full water change ASAP? It's a 75 gallon all male haps/peacocks aquarium. Water is slightly brown now. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

I don't think the rust would be a big problem health wise but you could do another water change if you want. Do you know why you got rust colored water? If your local water authority has flushed lines due to a water line break somewhere, be prepared to check your tap water for higher chlorine or chloramine level BEFORE you add any new water to the tank.

Not sure where the rust colored water came from. We have that every now and then around here. I think maybe a city line flush caused it. But who knows.
