Hello,
I have a simple question for you enthusiasts.=) How many pounds of rock is safe to put in a 55 gal tank?and what do I put in the bottom to keep the rocks from putting too much pressure on the glass?also would y'all recommend Texas holey rock since it would seem the holes might be too small once my fish get bigger.thanks in advance!

I have had large flagstone stacked almost to the top of my 55gal plus gravel with no issues. Some of the larger pieces weighing 30-35 lbs. I'm a landscaper so its always around and usually dirt cheap or free. I'd be more worried about the tank being to top heavy on the stand. My 55gal/stand isn't exactly wide and its currently on a carpeted floor.

I have over 120 pounds of ocean rock in my tank plus a very deep crushed coral subtrate. None of the rocks are glued but just hours of very carefully stacking until I am satisfied that they are secure.
