I have a juvenile Robertsoni (1.5") and a one year old Regani (4.5"). They currently live in separate tanks by themselves.
I would like to combine these two in a standard 75 gallon tank.
I probably will add dithers also.

Is this a disaster waiting to happen? I love both of these fish but I am skeptical on them living together harmoniously. Has anyone done this combination before?

Yes, I have, not exclusively but the two have been in the same tank. Put the robertsoni in first and let him/her enjoy the tank and establish it's territory for a couple of weeks. Then add the regani.

Depending on the temperment of your young regan will depend on if it works. Just do the combo on a day where you can sit and watch for a while... Robertsoni are no whimps either...
