I was setting up my 30 gallon tank and tried this repti glo 10.0 uv bulb i had , looks awsome .Really brings out the blue in the Granite rock i have. curious if anyone knows something similar to buy for 48" . I mean i could always go buy a repti glo but if there is something cheaper that would look just as nice.

Anyone else use the uv bulb ? any wierd results ?

You might expect high algae with long run times. They are a spendy bulb to just throw on a tank that doesn't need them. I think a 10000k bulb would do the same sort of effect.

ya i dont realy want to use the bulb but it looks nice compared to my others . id like the look for my 55 too. i have the lights on timers , noon till 10pm . ill try one of the 10000k's mayby a 50/50?
