It seems that my aquarium is having issues with its ph and general hardness. My ph right now is hovering around 8.0, my alkalinity is also fairly high, and to join in the fray, my hardness also is way baove where I want it to be. I have been using an acid buffer that converts alkalinity into CO2 which is supposed to reduce the ph level but it does not seem to be working.

I need the ph to be around 7 or below for my SA cichlids. Does anyone know of good products to help out here. I already have driftwood in the tank as well as live plants. I use 2 CO2 systems to help the plants but nothing seems to be working. Any ideas???

I would suggest you getting yourself an RO filter. You can find a decent on on ebay for a liitle over $100.00. this will be the easiet way to keep the PH down. Trying to do it chemically with such a high PH is almost impossible, plus it is very unhealthy for your fish to be seeing such PH swings.
