well the two juvies I have in the 45 decided to breed :) I thought nothing of it till the eggs were laid and then today theres babies :D....its there first spawn so im shocked they did it but the female has kicked the male out and is taking care of them herself so he will be moved out of the tank tonight and ill keep her with them alone :d just wanted to update people.

WOW nice job! I'd love to see pics of the fry. I'm always hearing about RD tearing each other up when trying to get them to pair up. It's probably a good idea to move the male.Sweet, good luck with fry. :D

My Convicts ate their fry the first few times. I've never had a breeding pair of big cichlids. I guess all cichlids are pretty much the same. I hope they give it another try.
