What would you recommend for water condition testing? I had been using the test tubes with the drops you add and then read the results against a color chart. Last night my wife used a test trip that tests for four or five different things and the results are way different. She decided the test strip was correct and added more conditioner to the water. This morning I awoke to a dead fish and four others hovering at the top corner of the tank. The Oscar and Plecos were the only ones that seemed ok.

The drops are more accurate than the strips. Throw the strips away. I started with them and once tested the same water three times and got different readings each time.
If you are using prime as a conditioner than you need to get their test kit, otherwise your numbers will be off. If your using something else, then just go with a normal drop kit.
