any peaceful malawis that i can comm inside a 3ft tank? are peacocks aggressive to each other? if i get 6 of them will it be alright?

In my experience a 3ft is not ideal for peacocks, If you do then let my suggest a species only setup of 1 male 4 females

What is the dimensions of the tank exactly?

I've heard a trio or quad like Gibbs suggested is good if you choose smaller most peaceful peacocks.

The only Aulonocara that might get away with, are some of the more passive Aulonocara such as; Aulonocara hueseri, Aulonocara baenschi, Aulonocara kandeense, Aulonocara maulana, Aulonocara maylandi, Aulonocara stuartgranti (Neon Dorsal varieties only), Aulonocara sp. ''Chitande types".

The difficulty may prove to be finding pure strains in your area.

If you do go with peacocks, quad or trio, make sure they won't exceed 5 inches. Any thing bigger may cramp them.
And as Fogelhund said, go with the less aggressive species.
