Still new to the aquarium world. Just curious, I've seen several times people saying that raising the water temperature helps with some illnesses/issues.

When raising the water temperature, what temperature should I be raising it too? What types of illnesses/issues does this help with (i.e. parasite, fungal, etc).

Thanks, y'all have been a big help in my introduction to this awesome hobby.

It depends on the disease. Most common reason is for ich- raising the temperature speeds up its life cycle, and above 85 degrees supposedly lowers its reproduction. However, most bacterial diseases would only benefit from increased temps, so be careful about which source of information you follow.
