Hello everyone,

i was at home depot looking for some silica sand and asked and they showed me a bag of very fine sand made be quickrete and i was just wondering if anyone has used it beofre or think it will work as a substrate.

I used it at one time years ago. Just rinse it well as there'll be a lot of dust. But, it's cheap enough so no big deal if you rinse some of it away.

This stuff works great and comes out of the bag clean. Get the medium grade...I think it's the green and brown 100 pound bag. The fine would be too small of a grain. At $3.99 for 100 pounds you can't beat the price.
