Sorry if this isnt in the correct spot.

Just wondering if electric yellows and electric blues can go in the same tank?

Thought i would ask before purchasing any of these.

Thanks

I have 2 yellows and a male elctric blue together, (searching for a female blue) and have never had a problem. I have always kept these two groups together. You should have no issues.

"electric blue" is used to describe several species in the trade. Are we talking about Melanochromis cyaneorhabdos, aka Maingano, aka Electric Blue Johanni? (Check it out in the Profiles section) If so then yes, that is a good mix, providing the tank size is suitable (wouldn't recommend anything under 4' long).

Yellow labs are pretty flexible as African cichlids go, but you still want to know what's in the tank with them.

How big is the aquarium, in terms of volume and dimensions?

Which electric blues? Scieanochromis fryeri or Melanochromis cyaneorhabdos?
