i have cichlid sand in my frontosa tank now i want to switch over to black sand i just bought 2 100lb bags of black beauty blasting sand can i use this sand? will it mess up my ph? right now my ph is 8.0 ty for your help

if you dont have any things to buffer your ph, you will get a lower ph reading. However, you can use the recipe to buffer the ph after you switch the sand.

charlse ty but it occured to me just a few min ago to test the ph from my faucet lol its maxing out at 8.6 so im thinking i dont have to worry about it now although im still scratching my head to as how i got a lower reading in my tank lol no driftwood in there. ok now i just have the task of rinsing this black sand lol 200lbs i better keep the beers cold lol
