I am going to get a 60-75 gallon aquarium in the near future and am planning on stocking it with the cookie cutter setup that includes Angelfish. This will be my first Cichlids aquarium :) I have read that you should start out with about 5 Angelfish and see which ones will pair together and remove the others from the tank. I only have smaller tanks ( a 10 and a 5 gallon)and I know that I cannot keep Angelfish in them so I am wondering what do you do with the angelfish that don't pair together and are removed from the tank?

Thanks

Find out if your local fish store will take them for a credit. You can also see if there is a fish club in your area that has an auction or a swap. You can also advertise as needing a new home on Craigslist.org, perhaps with an adoption fee. Or, the best thing--get your friends started in the hobby by giving them angelfish.

Angelfish are a favorite of mine too.

Happy fishkeeping!
