Hi Everyone

These are the fish I plan to keep in my 75g. 6 Yellow labs, 6 Ps. aceim 6 Iodotropheus sprengerae, 6 Cynotilapia. I just tested my water today and looking at the chart it looks like the pH straight out of the tap is 7.4 or maybe a tiny bit higher. Do I have to raise the PH or will it be fine the way it is. Also is the fish I have chosen ok? I want a peaceful, colorful tank.

Thanks in advance.

Mine is 7.4 out of the tap and I don't do anything to it...have a batch of 15 fry and more on the way so I think the fish are OK with it.

That's good to know. But if I look up yellow lab in the profiles section it says it requires a pH of 7.8 to 8.6. That is what got me worried that I need to add something.

Ok, so if I want to raise the PH whats the best way to go about it. Plus is this something I would have to do every time I do a water change?

you could use crushed coral as a substrate. That will give you the conditions needed for your fish...
