Question about cycling tank - mollies/guppies

After my fishless cycle is complete I plan to add some guppies or mollies to the tank and let them live there for a week just to be sure the water is safe before adding over $100 worth of peacocks and haps. But what do I do with these fish when I add the haps and peacocks? Will they eventually be eaten? What do you all recommend? :-?

For pity's sake - leave the poor livebearers alone. They're fish too!

Alright, rant over. Get one or two of your eventual fish, and try it with them. It's not an either or.

Also, the mods are probably going to scold you for double posting.

I don't think it was on purpose. Happens to me if my computer lags and I get impatient

Do you have friends or neighbors that have tanks? How about the kid down the street? I know in Chicago people don't speak but it works wonders when you try it. Amazing how many people would like a free fish or two. Craigslist will get a response, also.
