I am shipping some baby fish with bag buddies. It says one tablet for every gallon, but they are going in a bag with probably 4-5 cups of water. Is that bag buddy going to over dose the water? Or should I cut the tablet in half?

Also, the owner wants a heat pack. The heat pack raises the temp to 20* The fishes current tank temp is 80* Where the owner lives, its going to be in the 50* at night and 70* during the day. Where I live though, its in the 80*!!!
Should I get the water down to 70* before shipping them so I dont burn them up?
I have heard placing it in between paper plates and wrapping it up in newspaper then taping it on the lid of the box. Which method should I do.

Thank you for your help :thumb:

you should cut the bag buddies tablet up... i generally ship 4-5 bags of fish at a time and cut the tablet into 1/4s or 1/5s

to be honest you dont need a heat pack now, its freaking summer. you should be more worried about them cooking with that heat pack. but if u must, what i do is put the heat pack at the bottom of the box then put a layer of cardboard over the heat pack- to distribute the heat better, it works for me.
