I got a 20 and 30 gal empty tank im considering to use as quarantine tank.
which is better?

what kind of filter is enough? do i really need a power filter or just sponge filter?
Im going to place the filter media from either one in the main tank until when i do run the Q tank.

I plan to make automated water change of 10gal per day on this q tank.
10gal will be replaced by main tank water.

The bigger the better use the 30. I use a small filter with a biowheel. I keep the biowheel in the sump of an active tank to keep it colonized. Then when I fire up the hospital, I fill it with tank water, put the biowheel in the filter and its ready to go in minutes.
