I made adjustments to my tank per the advice here in an earlier thread. I reduced my tank to 3 puncs and 6 calvus, all juveniles. The plan is to remove calvus as needed.
That being said I have a question in regards to behavior. I currently have one calvus and one punc that are sharing the same shell. One will go inside while the other hovers around the mouth of the shell and periodically they change places. I have seen no aggression and neither attempts to chase the other away. Is this normal? They will both chase the other fish if they get to close to that area but not each other. I tried to get a video but every time I get to close with the camera they shy away.
Had anyone witnessed this before?
