I'm thinking about getting six for my 55 gallon tank. I had this species several years ago, but don't remember their temperment that much. Anyone out there keep this species and what do you think about them?

I just traded an albino one. It was hyper agressive. The Lfs said they are pretty agressive too. I guess keeping them depends on what other typer of fish you have. They are very pretty fish though.

I had them for a year and liked them. They are about equal to red zebra in aggression IME. Definitely don't want more than one male.

My experience is that they are super aggressive. There are plenty of other pretty blue fish that are nicer. If your other fish are pretty agressive you will probably be ok though.

I have some at about 1.5" long with some saulosi 2.5-3" long and they get along great. Plus they look good and ad some more blue to the tank. They seem to bicker amongst themselves a little, but of course, so do the saulosi. They dont really bother each other, but I guess thats because of the size difference. Hopefully when they get bigger they wont get meaner lol.

I have 5 ranging from 3-4.5". They're actually relatively docile. On the mbuna scale, maybe a 5?
