I am working on a very old species account from LM and I've run across a listing of Pseudotropheus newsi. Does anyone know the current classification of this fish? I've heard perhaps P. heteropictus?

From Ad Koning's 3rd Edition of Lake Malaŵi Cichlids in their natural habitat.

Pseudotropheus heteropictus whose scientific name has erroneously been applied to a large species from Thumbi West Island, Metriaclima sp. "black dorsal heteropictus" â€" is seen at almost every locality around the island, and, like all kingsizei-type mbuna, favors the more sediment-free (with clear water) type of intermediate habitat. This small mbuna has been exported as 'Pseudotropheus Newsi' and achieved a degree of popularity among hobbyists under this trade name. Females are bright yellow and common in the upper 5-10 meters of the intermediate habitat.
