After the windex incident with my kid, here's my new setup - unfortunately some sunlight was creeping into the canopy from the back so the vallisneria is covered in diatom algae - other then that things are good.

Inhabitants:
9 ocellatus gold
6 firefin comps
4 synodontis petricola
1 bushynose pleco

Plan on adding some Cyp. Utinta in the near future - waiting on Speciousus to be available along with em' so I don't have to waste a second trip.

I realize the occies and comps will need to be thinned out with age, and eventually the comps will need their own tank.

Suggestions and all that jazz are always welcome.

Nice set up dbs! Can't wait to see the cyps in with them. my set up looks like **** so i'm not putting any pics of anything up til i can at least fix em. lol

For nine occies you'd need about nine shells

i think the comps might bother the occies when they get bigger(in about a year or 2..)

for 9 occies, i would have like 15shells.

for 9 multies, i would have like 100

i got speciosus in my tank and they are so nasty towards each other even when they didt claim any shells. they were ripping each other up. i had to put my hand in and seperate them.
