Ok so I have been doing my best first ever african cichlid tank, and my idea was to have an all male tank.
All has gone well for the first 7 months! But just a week ago I noticed my jacobfreibergi cichlid was acting weird, hiding and not eating! I believe it might be a mouth brooding female atm, though im not sure! Could you all tell me?
If it does happen to be a female, I have a question, why does she have so many eggspots? I was told females only get one or two at most, and google isnt helping
?

Hm, well turns out she was holding, already stripped the babies, and rehomed to a friends all fenale tank. But why does she have eggspots?

Egg spots don't mean they have eggs currently. They are just a female sexual dimorphism. Crappy males might have them and not all the females do.

Females can have egg spots, it is not an indicator of gender.
