I was just looking over my tang tank and it looks like one of my brevis has popeye...his right eye is bulging out...never had any illness in any of my tanks so I don't know whats going on.....is it the end for him or is there something I can do?

well.......i guess thanks for the help?

this place used to be pretty useful....i guess not so much anymore

You need to be patient...

And, you could also have done a search for "popeye" and found hundreds of topics with your answers quite easily. :thumb:

Eye issues are usually caused by poor water quality or injury. You've provided very little detail, so there is no way to determine what the problem is in your particular case.

They often turn into bacterial infections.

What are the water parameters on the tank?

What is your normal tank maintenance routine?

Is the fish behaving normally otherwise? Still eating? Being reclusive?

If the fish is normal other than the eye, I would do daily water changes on the tank and add Melafix. Should his condition worsen, you may need antibiotics.

But, you really need to determine the cause of the eye issues.
