Hi,

I have a new heavily planted tank and don't want to use carbon or purigen to polish the water.

I'm interested in POLYFILTER and just wonder if you can use this product with plant fertilisers. Will this product absorb and soak up the plant fertilisers (Something I don't want) or only tannins and ammonia, nitrite and nitrate?

Any answers would be much appreciated. Thanks.

If your tank is cycled, you should not have ammonia or nitrite.

Good question about the nitrate, which is produced by beneficial organisms and is also in plant fertilizers.
