Pleco Pooping (i know it is not a cichlid)

Hey About a month back, i bought a common pleco, now every time i see him he is pooping, is this normal for a fish to be pooping this much? There does not appear to be alot of algae in the tank, and i never see him eat the fish food, any explanations?

That's pretty much all common plecos are good for, unfortunately.

The produce tons of waste, and as they grow, tend to get very lazy as far as algae control goes.
