I bought this cichlid several years ago at a local pet store and they listed it as a sunset peacock but when i search for it on the internet i dont get any results

Looks like a zebra obliquidens to me.

Definitely not a peacock. It looks to be a Haplochromis sp. "dayglow" from Lake Victoria. Zebra Obliquidens do not have the white looking face.

It looks like a Astatotilapia latifasciata (zebra obliquidens) hybrid. It definitely isn't a pure A. latifasciata and it's definitely not Hap dayglow.
