hey i justed lowered the tank today about 5 inches of a standard 125gal i added fresh water and added salt to the tank n added stress coat. i came home and noticed that all the fish are hovering above the gravel like the lights were just turned on...but they were on all day. i checked the parameters and noticed that the salt raised my ph from 7.8 to about 8.4. is this rlly bad? idk if i should do a water change quickly or not to bc its 11 at night or should i do it in the morning????
the ph was the only thing that was different everything else was normal....should i be worried or tomm do a water change quickly
thanks

I would forego the salt. 7.8 ph isn't bad at all for Malawians. Salt is just another stressor, especially when it fluctuates the water parameters.

I would maybe do a small waterchange tomorrow, and slowly let the ph go back down to 7.8.
