I've recently placed some limbestone in my tank and the ph jumped from 7.9 too 8.8 in two days.Wondering if this might continue or if it will level out.I have been changing 25% of the water per day to keep it down.My well water is 7.4 so it lowers the tanks ph with a water change.

The pH will not continue to rise indefinitely but will level out. The effect is called buffering.

What species are you keeping in this tank?

You do need to be careful when doing the water changes. Swings like that in the ph can be very hazardous to your fish.
