I have a pair of jaguars that I'm going to eventually move to their own tank. I was planning on 150-180g, but have just found a STEAL for a 125g... is the extra depth and height really that important for them?
This will only work if you want to place your pair of Jags in the 125, as a temporary grow out tank.
- A well-kept/healthy male P. managuensis, will EASILY grow out to 20 inches in length.
- a 125 gallon tank is only 18 inches in width.
You see the problem, right?
So, sooner or later.... you're gonna need a minimum-sized, two foot wide by six foot long tank to keep a single adult pair of Jaguar Cichlids.
