The two holes in the bottom of my overflow seem a bit large to me and I wanted to get some opinions on this before I head to the plumbing store to try get this tank up and running. The larger of the two holes has a diameter of 2 1/2 inches, the smaller return line hole is 1 7/8 inches. Does that seem too big? Understand that I have never set up a tank like this before, so this is all new ground.

Remember, when you install the bulkheads, they will be taking up a lot of the space in that hole. It will prob. wind up being 1.5" drain pipe and 1" return pipe
