I have a 90G tank, 4 feet wide, with the following cichlids in it. They are all small (less than 2 inches)

4 Yellow labs
4 Afra cobues
3 Demasoni
4 Red peaccoks
4 Blue zebras

1 red tail shark (3 inches)

What are your thoughts about this combination? Are they too many? Is it a bad combination? I was in the moment and got over excited. I'm starting to second guess myself....

Thanks!

The demasoni will pick each other off until 1 lives, unless they're all females (unlikely odds).

What is a blue zebra? Cobalt Zebra? Metriaclima Callainos?

The shark will get BIG, but a 90 may be okay. I know a guy with an 11" shark in his 125.

The peacocks may do okay... hard to tell.

I thnk you'll be fine. The peacocks won't really claim substrate area.
Neither will the shark.

I would up the numbers of demasoni soon.

One demasoni is already trying to take over the tank. It's always chasing everyone away. It's the nicests looking one, most likely a male. So little (1.5') but so bossy!

That's a demasoni. If you have other males, they will eventually be killed.

I am new to this hobby and wanted lots of colours. I hope this will give me what I was going for.
Hard to tell when they're so little as they all look pale :)

Thanks

If you just put them in, they'll be pale for a little bit. Otherwise demasoni should be dark vibrant blue.
