Hey all-

I'm finally in a position where I can work on a paludarium. Looking at doing a river basin type setup, most likely apisto and neons. What are suitable land plants to place in the setup?

Also, I'm planning on some swords, java fern and probably duckweed for floating cover. Yes/no?

Planned filtration will be a wet/dry with a peat insert to help with arizona water.

I use creaping phylodendron (Im not sure of the exact name). It can grow with the roots submerged, plus it can climb and fill in a lot of spaces, it could be used to fill in any gaps you have around other plants.

I bought some cheap Pothos, rinsed the roots clean and emersed them in the tank. They did very well but their roots grew at a very rapid rate, had to keep trimming them :)
