So, I upgraded from the 72 bow front to a 120 gallon. I traded out the gravel for sand and got rid of the undergravel filter and currently don't run any type of air pump into the tank. I currently run Fluval 306 x2 and aqua tech hob x2. I guess my main question is... is the surface agitation from the hobs and canisters enough to oxygenate the water? Thanks in advance.

I currently have a 55G with 6 Electric Blue Haps (3" to 4"+) and 2 "Super Red" BNP's (3") in it. The only filtration on it is a single (large) Azoo sponge filter at one end of the tank ... the surface water at the opposite end of the tank is barely moving.

It's been like that for over a month ... and the fish are fine.

You are totally good to go with your setup ... :thumb:

About 1200. Each filter is rated at just over 300 gph. I have a third canister in there that is only there til I clean the 72 and get it ready to sell.
