New tank - Peacocks hiding/Parameters ok?

How big are the fish? Are you able to upload a photo of your setup?

They'll come out soon. They may not even eat the first day. You have several factors that occur. It's a new environment, they were probably not housed together until now, sometimes it takes fish a while to get used to human movement around them. Depending on the stock/size of peacocks, one could also be dominant keeping others in hiding. So many factors. What is the stock list? Pics? Your water perimeters are fine.

The reason that the stock list was requested is that if any of the species are incompatible, you may have aggression making them hide. But I agree, even if the species are fine together it will take a month or two for them to relax/swim around as usual.

The only stock in the tank is the 6 peacock cichlids that I bought yesterday. The tank is new and was recently cycled (fishless). At the store they were all in the same tank with other cichlids. Glad to hear my parameters are fine so I will just give them some time.

If you are going to stock 6 peacocks in a 75G then they should be all male and look completely different from each other. One red, one blue, one yellow...what else?

Don't read anything into the fact that they were in a tank together at the LFS.

They are all different colors. Trying to remember exactly which I got but they were all different looking. Blue and yellow, orange blotch, another is very dark (almost black), orange, yellow, blue.

Why not get the scientific names from the LFS?

Or if that is not possible then take clear profile pictures of each fish and post them in the Unidentified forum.

Some of the blue and yellow ones (depending on what species) might be too aggressive for the others. Or they might feel aggressive toward either their blue or yellow solid tank mates.

The species will help. The orange blotch one is a hybrid and you would expect him to be aggressive.

The tag listed them as premium aulonocara peacock cichlid ($17.99 each). I can try to take some pictures of them tonight to post in the unidentified forum.

Yes, pics please. The only orange I can think of would be a Dragon Blood, which is also hybrid and pretty aggressive. I've had a couple of juvenile Sulfer Heads that look black or darker colored. Just a couple fish I could imagine one being.
