Hi everyone it's been a long time since I been around here well I'm going to be buying a 125gal tank (6 feet long by 17.5in wide by 18in tall" I am upgrading from a 55gal so I'm pretty exited. The question is what are some ideas of stocking I'm totally open to any ideas the more the ideas the better and easier this will be.

Thanks everyone!!

125G is a very nice size! There are lots of stocking options for a 6' tank! What did you have in the 55G? Knowing that might tell us a little bit about what you are interested in. There isn't much point in listing endless stocking suggestions with Tanganyikans when you are more of a Central American kind of guy - to give just one example.

Enjoy the new tank :thumb:

In my last tank I had a little bit of everything a few Yellow Labs, Kenyi's and Maingano I'm looking to maybe go a little bit bigger but nothing that is going to over power my tank some of them my Wife and I were looking at are as follows.

Nansio Nyererei (red flank)
Carbo (Bumble Bee)
Red Empress, Firecracker
Rusty Cichlid

I like these kinds but like i said def open to more different kinds this is a winter project so I will be making caves thank you DIY on Cichlid Fourm :D and getting a nice mix of sand and rock substrate.

It seems like you are into Lake Malawi, and particularly into mbuna :)

Regarding that pink thing, there is no fish colored that way. Either the image is a Photoshop job gone wild, or it could be a photo of a very light colored fish - maybe an albino - swimming under a very red light tube. Once it swims out from under that light, it should look healthy again
