get him more shells first off. go to a craft store and get some bundle packs with some shells you can get ur thumb into. just the one isnt enough. gotta litter the sand with em so he can pick and choose. he'll bury the ones he doesnt like. pretty neat to watch nature do its thing imo. give it a shot.
