I'm currently looking at two different sized tanks.

The first one is a 120 gallon (72 1/8" 18 1/4" 20") with metal stand and glass top and lighting for $407.00. If I were to just buy just the tank alone the price is $239.00

The second one is a 150 gallon (72 1/8" 24" 20") with metal stand, glass top and lighting for $517.00. If I were to just buy just the tank alone the price is $329.00

It seems like a big jump in price when I buy the stand, cheap lighting, and glass tops. I already have lighting so that is not a real issue for me. But if I don't buy the stand thru them it's only a 90 day warranty as opposed to a 3 year warranty. I'm leaning toward getting the 150 and using cinder blocks as a stand but would like to hear different opinions.

if i could buy either or, i would def buy the bigger tank... i wouldn't use a metal stand, but that is just my opinion... i would DIY one or use cinder blocks if you don't care what it looks like... good luck and keep us posted.

How important is the warranty to you? That's the real question you have. I see you hinting at it the way you type!

Well, I still haven't gotten it yet. I keep thinking I'm going to find a deal on craigslist or something. It's tough paying $110.00 for 30 extra gallons if I purchased the 150 gallon but this is the footprint i'm looking for. The Iron stand that comes with this set up can hold two tanks.
