Hello! My name is Erin and I'm new here. I recently got a nice 36 gallon bowfront tank and stocked it with african cichlids. Please excuse me if I'm slighly naive about all this. I'm a fast learner though. I'm used to keeping goldfish and decided to try my hand at something new. I don't know what kind of cichlids they are . . . only that they're african. I would like to find out their exact type. I will get a picture up of my tank in the tank section as soon as I get a chance. I would also like to get more plants. Right now I have a mix of live and fake.

Alright I've been doing some surfing and in my tank it looks like I have 2 bumble bee, a red exasperatus, an auratus and a cobalt blue. Oh and I can't forget sir hoover my placo

For positive fish IDs (or opinions there of :wink: ) post pics taken of the fish's profile in the Unidentified Cichlids area.
Also, you can get some opinions/ideas on plants/deco if you post your tank pics in the Aquarium Decoration area.
