hey guys. i currently own a 55 gallon african cichlid tank. i would like to upgrade to a 125 gallon though. i was wondering if anyone has been in the same situation as me but has already bought a 125 gallon tank. if you have i would like to know how much money it would cost to create the tank, hood, filters, and heaters. thanks everyone!

In all honesty, I would say anywhere from about $200 used basic parts up to $1250 for new primo equipment. (exceptions are always around) A while back, my LFS had a 125 tank, pine stand and lighted hood only for $450 and that was a great deal I should have taken.
Also made me notice you did not list a stand, plan on about $100 in materials and hardware for a 6' stand if you plan on going the DIY route...
