My cycling is going well, so now I need to figure out my candidate stocking list. I'm probably going to the site sponsor that's geographically closest to me so these names are pulled from his stock list. Opinions and suggestions for alternatives would be welcome, obviously I want the most colorful tank I can get. It's a 48" 75 gallon so I know I need to avoid the larger species as much as possible. Here's the tank

and the stock list

Aulonocara stuartgranti Mdoka ''Flametail''
Aulonocara var. ''Rubescens''
Aulonocara jacobfreibergi Tsano Rock ''Swallowtail''
Aulonocara stuartgranti Chitimba Bay Shallow ''Bicolor''
Aulonocara baenschi Nkhomo Reef ''Yellow Regal''
Aulonocara stuartgranti Undu Point ''Blue Neon''
Aulonocara sp. ''Lwanda'' Hai Reef ''Red Top''
Copadichromis azureus Mbenji
Copadichromis borleyi Kadango ''Red Fin''
Lethrinops marginatus ''Red Flush''
Cyrtocara moorii ''Blue Dolphin''
Protomelas sp. ''Spilonotus Tanzania'' Liuli

I would skip these as too large for a 75G:
Borleyi
Dolphin
Spilonotus

I would skip this in any all male, not likely to color: Lethrinops

I would choose a theme...timid or a little more aggressive. The jacobfreibergis on your list could intimidate the timid fish on your list and impact their ability to color negatively.

I did not find the blue neon was able to color with other yellows like baenschi.

Following your suggestion, I'm leaning toward the more timid end of the scale and removing the Jakes and those Haps you identify as too big

So here's the modified list

Peacocks

Aulonocara stuartgranti Mdoka (Flametail)
Aulonocara stuartgranti Maleri
Aulonocara Ruby Red
Aulonocara stuartgranti Usisya
Aulonocara turkis

Would A.S Bicolor 500 work with the above or too many yellows?

Haps I'm looking at

Copadichromis chrysonotus Mumbo 'White Blaze'
Placidochromis electra Likoma 'Deep Water'
Protomelas marginatus 'Turquoise'
Copadichromis trewavasae Likoma 'Ivoryhead Mloto'
Otopharynx tetrastigma

So I still need a couple more (unless any above need removing!). More suggestions welcome

You have 11...that is good for a 75G...one more if you really want.

The bicolor has a good chance of working.
