My new setup, use to have a red ear slider in there and decided he got too big and maintenance was too much work for my schedule. I plan on making this a Mbuna tank eventually, right now in its second week of cycle

In the tank there is
-fluval u4
-heater
-powerhead
-airstone
-rocks found in local park and backyard
-silica sand from leslie pools
-lfs fake stump
-also te hood was bought used from my lfs, I plan on finding one to size and making a custom top.

Right now I have some tiger barbs in there helping with the cycle.

I don't normally like fake decorations, but I *really* like that stump. Odds are your Mbuna will feel the same and fight for the right to call it their own.

Great looking tank! :thumb:

+1 on more rocks though. Especially since you want Mbuna.

Its a slow start, I will eventually be adding more rocks as I go. It was all I could carry by myself up and down a decent sized trail.

As for the stump, I bought it when I had my turtle so my feeders can give my turtle a hard time. I also threw in a few cichlids in there before realizing how much I loved their ability to survive. I ended up with one Mbuna with my slider and they we're tank mates for a good two years, it was only a matter of time that one of the feeders carried something into my tank.

;Thanks guys for your opinions, I will update pictures as I go
