Nepheline syenite...?

please help me with details and info if this particular sand is safe for my Malawi cichlids

Google told me it's pool filter sand. Should be fine. If you want, get a bucket, put some in it with some feeder fish and an airstone for a week.

I just did that now
7 feeder goldfish and air with the Nepheline syenite PFS

nost people say that PFS ( pool filter sand ) is best and excellent for use with Cichlids

but Iv seen that both Nepheline syenite and Silica are PFSands ?/

what is best and why,... ? has anyone use those sands?

FROM THE bit of reaserch iv done today

SiliCA and Nepheline syenite are not the exact same, some people seem to think that Nepheline syenite is the scientific name for Silica , but they are 2 different rocks both used for Pool Filter Sand...

I was interested in knowing who here on this forum has used iether or and which whould be overall better

i use silica sand in most of my tanks and have never experienced a problem with it.
